Plant Spa FAQs:

What does “re-potting” mean?

It’s the actual removing of a plant from its container and putting it back—either in the same container or in another one.

Can I bring my plant in anytime?

Plant Spa services are available on weekdays (Tues-Fri). On weekends, we generally do not take Plant Spa orders due to space and time constraints on busy days, though we may occasionally be able to take one by special arrangement if you call ahead.

Do you take same-day walk-ins?

It depends on a few factors, including how busy or quiet the shop is. We do our best to take walk-ins on the spot, but generally will quote you a few days to make sure we can pamper your plants to the fullest.

It’s always a good idea to call ahead: 206-632-1760.

Can I bring my plant in if it has pests?

No, please leave infested plants at home. We’re here to help, though, so please email us a photo of what you’re dealing with so we can help diagnose and troubleshoot. We don’t want a potential pest problem in the shop!

Oops, I can’t make it back by the scheduled pick up day! Can you hang onto my plant for a while until I get around to it?

Sorry! Because our shop is so small, we have limited space and can’t hold onto orders beyond the specified window. Late pickups will incur a $5 late fee, and plants left for more than a week without notice will be placed on the Little Free Nursery rack.

Can I bring my own soil in?

No. We have so many types of soil and amendments and we’d love to help you find the perfect blend for your plant. You can bring your own pots in, though!

I have SO MANY plants that need a trip to the spa! Can I bring them all in at once?

We love to hear it! And, if you’ve been to the shop, then you know we’re a small team in a small space. We don’t have the capacity to take on and store bigger orders. Please call ahead if you have more than three plants so we can make a specific plan for your needs: 206-632-1760.

P.S. You should come to our next Potting Happy Hour! We host one the first Friday of the month. Free soil, staff support, and community!

My plant looks like it needs help and I think I want a new pot for it, but I have no idea what I want to do. Can I just drop my plant off and let you work on it?

We think you’ll love working on a plan with us, and we’re pretty sure you’ll find inspiration once you get here. Plan to spend a little time in the shop with us choosing the right mix of services, soils, and add-ons. We’ll take care of the rest!
